Bridgeport ~ Johnnie Wayne Thompson, 69, a retired fieldsman, went to be with our Lord Thursday, December 31, 2015 in Decatur.
Graveside service is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at Springtown Cemetery in Springtown, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Gene Thompson will officiate.
Johnnie was born on June 17, 1946 to John and Ruth (Gilbreath) Thompson in Weatherford, Texas. He was united in marriage to Linda Sue Holder on March 2, 1977 in Springtown, Texas. Johnnie retired after 25 years of service from American Milk Producer Incorporated and Dairy Farmers of America.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 38, years, Linda Thompson of Decatur; his daughter, Christie Hasty; his sons, Jackie Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Randy Ellison, and Robin Ellison; his grandchildren, Ty, Taylor, Jered, Justin, Laken, Tristan, Rachel, and Nathan ; his brother, Lonnie Thompson and wife Vickie; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
