Decatur: Johnny Gene Garrett, 66, a farmer/rancher and cowboy went to be with our Lord, Thursday, February 11, 2010.
Graveside service is 2 p.m. Monday, February 15th at Sweetwater Cemetery with Reverend Charles Taylor officiating.
Johnny was born December 8, 1943 in Decatur to John M. and Calva Christine Wood Garrett. He married Clara Lois Souther on March 2, 1963 in Decatur.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Clara Garrett of Decatur; daughter, Conda Goode and husband, Tom of Decatur; son, Mike Garrett and wife, Kay of Slidell; four grandchildren, Jamie Braden and husband, Forest of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Jessy Goode of Decatur, Nathan and Trenton Garrett of Slidell.
Johnny is preceded in death by his grandson, Wil Goode.
Family requests memorials be made to Allison Baptist Church or a charity of choice.
