Paradise ~ Johny E. McDuff, 87, went to be with our Lord Saturday, May 18, 2024 in Decatur.
Funeral Service is 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 24th, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial at Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Willie Holt to officiate. Pallbearers are Bryan Self, Jim Bo Moody, Mitch Brown, Joe Rios, Todd Weger, and Brett Clifton. Honorary Pallbearers include Patrick Thomas and Jacob Smith.
Johny was born on December 17, 1936 to Willie A. “Tub” and Margie Mae (Murray) McDuff in Godley. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Geneva Sue Smith on December 17, 1957 at Paradise Church of Christ. Johny retired as an inspector from the National Stockpile Department of Defense and he proudly served our country in the United States Army. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend to many that will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Margie McDuff; his grandson, Brian Eustace; his granddaughter, Grace McDuff; his sister, Jackie Sowell; and his brother, Eddie McDuff.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years, Sue McDuff of Paradise; his son, Jerry McDuff and wife Cindy of Paradise; his daughter, Sherry Eustace and husband Mike of Fort Worth; his grandchildren, Heather Stoerger and husband Connor of Fisher, Illinois, Audrey Barby and husband Brayden of Henrietta, and Christal Overstreet and husband Bryson of Saginaw; his great-grandchildren, Camden and Baylor Overstreet, and Jaxson Stoerger; his sister, Glenda Jean Worlow and husband Wayne; numerous nieces, nephews, and host of family and friends.
