Funeral for Joie Daniel Hughes, 26, of Paradise was Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Central Fellowship Church in Decatur. The Rev. Dale Randolph officiated. Daniel died Friday, Jan. 13, 2006, in Paradise. Born July 23, 1979, in Bridgeport to Glenn and Linda Wood Hughes, he owned Marble Creations in Boyd. He graduated in 1997 from Paradise High School and attended Texas Tech University from 1998 to 2002. He is survived by his parents, Glenn and Linda Hughes of Paradise; his sister, Jennifer Crawford and husband, Ben, of Paradise; and his grandmother, Mary Hughes of Decatur. Pallbearers were Michael Tittor, Chris Mattison, Daniel Adams, Jason Jacoby, David Spidle and Isidro Ortiz. Honorary pallbearers were Evan Hughes, Keaton Hughes and Cody Gee.
