Paradise: Joseph Darwin Small Jr., 84, a retired quality engineer, went to be with our Lord Monday, January 3, 2011 in Decatur.
Memorial Service: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster.
Joseph was born on September 18, 1926 to Joseph Sr. and Gladys (Cheek) Small in Indianapolis, Indiana. He married Jovita Tisalona on March 30, 1947 in Los Banos, Laguna, Phillipines. Joseph was a retired quality engineer for LTV-Lockheed and served his country in the U.s. Navy during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Patricia Gail Small.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 years, Jovita Small of Paradise; his daughters, Anita Maynor and husband John of Double Oaks, Texas, Peggy Looney and husband Dennis of Itasca, Texas, Pamela Foster and husband Nathan of Dawson, Texas, Linda Hazelwood of Pine Mills, Texas; his son Michael Joseph Small of Duncanville, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; his sister, Jackie Dee Brown of Dallas; other relatives and a host of friends.
