Aurora ~ Josh Smith, 24, a military historian went to be with our Lord Saturday, November 24, 2012 in Aurora.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery #2. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd.
Rev. Del Noska will officiate. Pallbearers include Henry Junkert, Max Junkert, David Junkert, Tracy Smith, Dwayne Strand and Mark Sanders.
Josh was born on November 24, 1988 to Richard and Jamie (Stailey) Smith in Fort Worth. He was a 2007 graduate of Boyd High School and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Josh was preceded in death by his grandmother, Myrtle Lee Stailey.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother, Jamie Ingram and husband Gary of Aurora, his father, Richard Smith of Austin; his sister, Stephanie Presher of Sanger; his grandfather, Sam Stailey of Aurora; his nieces, Emma and Kate Presher; his aunts, Jo Willard of North Carolina and Robin McMillian of Justin; his uncle, Matt McMillian of Justin; his cousins, Derek Kersey, Stephan Shepard and William McMillian; other family members and a host of friends.
