DECATUR - Joy Cousins Winder, 91, a retired teacher, died May 17, 2007 in Decatur. She taught at several school districts over the past 27 years that include Decatur, Chico, and Paradise. She was a member of the Eastern Star Decatur Chapter #543 for over 50 years and an honorary member of the Decatur Womens Club.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at the First Baptist Church of Decatur with Rev. Ken May, assisted by Grady Barton, to officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Visitation: 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Survivors include 2 daughters: Sharon Kathleen Bilderback and husband Billy of Arlington and Jane Annette Rose of Colleyville. A son: Dr. John A. Winder and wife Marion of Decatur. 3 grandsons: Timothy and Michael Bilderback, and Terry K. Wood. 1 grandaughter: Dr. Paige L. Winder; Sister: Gladys Cousins Sellars; Sister-in-law: Mattie Bea Cousins; 2 great grandsons: Logan Evans and Landry Kenton Woods, and another is expected any time.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Judge John Winder.

Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church of Decatur Library and Wise Regional Hospital Auxillary.
