CHICO -- Joyce Dianne Mathews, 55, a homemaker and nanny went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in Bridgeport.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: Jim Ned Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Rev. Thomas Beddingfield and Rev. Kenneth Wood will officiate. Pallbearers: R.D. Throckmorton, Ricky Throckmorton, Larry Throckmorton, Chad McDaniel, Jody McDaniel, Carl McDaniel, Kyle McDaniel, and Josh McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers: Greg Gee, Bill McDaniel, Jay Throckmorton, and Coy McIlroy.
Joyce was born on July 30, 1953, the daughter of Reaford and Edith (Lawson) McDaniel in Bowie, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lark McDaniel.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are: sons, Johnny McDaniel and wife Susan of Alvord, Michael Mathews of Log Cabin; daughters, Sheila Skinner and husband Gary of Chico, Rhonda Esparza and husband Nick of Chico; grandchildren: Michael and Ty McDaniel, Colt Skinner, Ashley, John and Jami Mathews, William and Andrew Esparza; brothers, Wayne McDaniel of Park Springs, Winford McDaniel and wife Greta of Chico, Harold McDaniel and wife Joyce of Crafton, Corky McDaniel and wife Jo of Bridgeport; sisters, Marie Cox and husband Cecil of Bowie, Louise Throckmorton and husband James of Bowie, Lois Hunter and husband Roy of Chico, Joann Parker and husband Dwayne of Chico; numerous nieces and nephews.
