Joyce Esterlene Mcdaniel

Bridgeport~ Joyce Esterlene McDaniel, 89, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, November 7, 2021, in Bridgeport.

Graveside Service will be held 12 Noon Friday, November 12, 2021, at East Bridgeport Cemetery. Open Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

Joyce was born on August 23, 1932 to Hervie and Fannie (Mullins) Burchette in Tennessee. She worked for many years in Manufacturing, most recently for Stern Craft Boat Company and was a homemaker who enjoyed her family and friends. Joyce’s favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grand kids and she never missed a chance to catch up on her crime shows on tv. She was united in marriage to Don McDaniel on November 10, 1970, in Hugo, Oklahoma and enjoyed many happy years together until his passing on January 18, 1998.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don McDaniel; her daughter, Jan Morris; her siblings, Bertie, Barbara, Mary, Charles, J.D., and Billy.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Doug Yates and wife Tina of Van Alstyne; her daughter, Paula Minton and husband Johnny of Bridgeport; her son, Marvin Yates and wife Cindy of Flower Mound; her son, David Yates and wife Teresa of Bridgeport; her daughter, Angela McDaniel of Bridgeport; her step-daughters, Sharon Conyers of Yantis, Donna McDaniel and Cathy McDaniel of Bridgeport; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Willie Hubbard of Farmersville, Violet Neighbors of Prosper, Connie Wallace of Corpus Christi, and Sheba Moses of Collinsville; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
