Joyce Anne Sosa

Bridgeport ~ Joyce Sosa, 72, a truck driver, went to be with our Lord Sunday, August 19, 2018 surrounded by her loving family in Decatur.

Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Friday at Boerne City Cemetery in Boerne, Texas.

Rev. Scott Strother will officiate. Pallbearers include the family.

Joyce was born on September 1, 1945 to Robert and Bertha Mae (Hart) O’Bryant in San Antonio, Texas. She was united in marriage to Ray Sosa on June 28, 1964 in Mexico.

Joyce enjoyed fishing and her favorite to catch and fry was catfish. She loved her family and often had camping trips, BBQ cookouts and huge family get togethers. Joyce could cut a rug with the best of them on the dance floor. Joyce was famous for singing Patsy Cline’s “Crazy” on Karaoke night. Her smile was contagious and she will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Sosa; her sister, Barbara Strine; her brothers, Rick O’Bryant and Fred Moose.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Anna Sosa  and boyfriend Jaime Salazar of Bridgeport and Antoinette Olmos and husband Martin of Bridgeport; her sons, Warren Sosa and wife Wendy of Chico; Steven  Sosa of Bridgeport and Darren Sosa and wife Tammy of Chico; her grandchildren, Nikki Sosa, Jesse Olmos, Vanessa Gonzalez, Daniel Olmos, Sierra Champ, Mariah Leyva, Dilyn Sosa and Gavin Sosa; her great grandchildren, Izzabella Sosa and Adric Olmos; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
