Graveside service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Alvord Cemetery with Brother Louis Horton officiating. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.
Joyce was born on March 10, 1948 in Waco, Texas to Posey Everett and Ila Mae Smith, Sr. She married James Fredrick Stockton on May 16, 1967 in Decatur.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of almost 42 years, James Stockton of Decatur; son James Richard Stockton and wife, Marissa of Bridgeport; David Glen Stockton of Decatur; daughter, Glenda Martin of Decatur; four grandchildren, Lucas Stockton, Brittanie and Stephanie Martin of Decatur and Kayla Stockton; four brothers, Bob, Melvin, Jerry Gene Smith and Posey Smith, Jr.
