Joyce Winnell Witty

Bridgeport ~ Joyce Winnell Witty, 85, a retired school teacher, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Wichita, Kansas.
Joyce was born on September 27, 1931 to George and Willie (Miller) Tidwell in Davidson, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Percy Witty on September 10, 1951. Joyce graduated from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education . She taught English at both the junior high and high school levels, and coached basketball in her early teaching years. She taught in the Bridgeport ISD for 25 years, and retired after 29 years in education. Joyce was a member of the Texas State Teachers Association, and Trinity Fellowship Church in Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Percy Witty, daughter, Deena Rae Witty Bible, and son, Roger Dee Witty.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Lesa Williams and husband Mark Williams of Wichita, Kansas, Sarah McMillian of Azle, TX and Summer Gonzalez of Bridgeport, TX, her beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren , other family members and a host of friends.
Memorial Services will be held at Trinity Fellowship Church in Decatur, TX Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 10:00am.
