Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday June 25, 2007 at Assumption Of The Blessed Virgin Mary, Decatur. Burial: Oaklawn Cemetery. Rosary: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Chavez was born June 24, 1924 in Palmas Altas Jerez Zacatecas, Mexico to Nasario and Florencia Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Chavez, her parents, her son Pedro Chavez and grandson, Pedro Chavez, Jr.
Survivors: Her children, Juana Fernandez and husband Aurelio of Decatur, Marcelino Chavez and wife Maria of Pharr, Juan Chavez and wife Lorena of Decatur, Gabriela Hernandez and husband Ignacio of Decatur, Victor Chavez and wife Silvia of Decatur and Alberto Chavez and wife Armandina of Decatur; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
