Justin Ellison

On October 2, 1987 Justin Cole Ellison was born to Lawrance and Teresa Ellison in Denton, TX.  He walked into the arms of Jesus on May 23, 2021.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at New Hope Fellowship Church in Decatur with burial in Slidell Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Justin was preceded in death by Leon Ellison, Alta Rosco, Myrtle Teague, Dennis Dawson, Jason Dempsey, Freddy Dawson, and Joe Bill Davis. Also, waiting for him was his little companion, Bandit.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his parents, Lawrance and Teresa Ellison, brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Whitney Ellison, niece Jayden Ellison, nephew Jayson Ellison, grandparents Pat Davis, Ray and Betty Ellison, and Gwen Smith.  Aunts and Uncle Tana Dempsey Sheryl and Darrell Primm and Dusty Sherman. Cousins Amanda Sevvom, Tiffany Dawson, Jared Primm, Kerbi Hardwick, and Macy Gardner; and friends too numerous to count.

Justin had a giant's heart and filled every room he entered with laughter and light.  He was the most selfless and giving person who would do anything for anyone at any time, even if it meant personal sacrifices.  Justin had a contagious smile, even when he was hurting, he made others laugh.  He was a very passionate person who knew and loved with his whole soul and was never afraid to share his feelings and thoughts.  His kind spirit and love for animals and the outdoors is well known to all who loved him.  Justin could often be found around a bonfire, driving his 4-wheeler or pick up around the family land with his dogs, or enjoying paint ball with friends.

Close to Justin’s heart were his fur babies, dogs Buddy, Bear, and Buck, and his donkeys he lovingly named Lawrance and Teresa, in typical Justin fashion.

Justin's family was precious to him and he loved them fiercely.  He gave his family a lifetime of memories; full of love, laughter, and little pranks to help fill the void now present. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
