Kaleb Kent Rutherford

Rhome ~ Kaleb Kent Rutherford, 41, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Decatur.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Community Church in Decatur. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 10th from 6-8 p.m. at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Michael Toller, brother-in-law, will officiate. Pallbearers include, Michael Toller, Dave Hoekstra, Jeremy Hoekstra, Phil Thompson, Greg Silva, Martin Morris, and Kasey Denson.

Kaleb was born on December 3, 1979 to Billy Kent and Paula Sue (Fitts) Rutherford in Fort Worth. He was united in marriage to Emily Beth Hoekstra on January 6, 2001 in Burleson, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Kent Rutherford; grandfathers, Bill Rutherford, Paul “Papa” Fitts; and grandmother, Mary “Gibber” Rutherford.

He leaves behind his loving wife, of 20 years, Emily of Rhome; his precious sons, who called him “D,” Kase Kent, Karson Kaleb, Kennan Kit, and Karter Kristian all of Rhome; his mother, Paula Rutherford of Decatur; his sister, Paula-Beth Toller and husband Michael of New Caney; his grandmother, Treva “Nonnie” Fitts of Decatur; his mother-in-law and father-in-law; sisters and brother-in-law; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of friends.
