Karen Jane "Janie" (Gibson) Young

Bowie ~ Karen “Janie” Young, 76, went to be with our Lord Thursday, May 11, 2023 in Plano, Texas.

Karen, but everyone called her Janie was born September 28, 1946 to Cecil Everett and Katherine Elizabeth (Musgraves) Gibson in Bernie, Missouri. She was united in marriage September 17, 1966 to Dennis Young in Bernie, Missouri. Janie was a graduate of Bernie High School and was a retired nurse after many years in the medical field. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many who will dearly miss her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Katherine Gibson.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Dennis Young of Bowie; her sons, Jimmie Young and Jason Young; her grandchildren, Kylie Young, Bhealor Young, Kade Young, and Ella Young; her brothers, Billy Gibson, Harold Gibson, and Johnny Gibson; her sister, Elizabeth Triplett; extended family members and a host of friends.
