Boyd ~ Katie Pearl Wilson Brown, 93, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Monday, July 30, 2012 in Mesquite.
Funeral is 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Bro. Steve Weeks will officiate. Pallbearers include J.W. Fuller, Jim "Biff" Brown, Tom Wilson, Ronnie Smith, Gary Arnold, and Dave Clark.
Katie was born on September 30, 1918 to D.J. and Lula (Wright) Wilson in Cottondale, Texas. She married O.P. Brown on December 24, 1938 in Boyd. They were united in marriage until his death on November 2, 1989. Katie was a member of the Boyd Church of Christ and a former employee of the Fort Worth ISD.
Katie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, O.P. Brown; her brothers, Tom, Dick, Harry and Bill Wilson; and her sister, Ruby Wilson.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Anita St. Clair of Dallas and Emily Robinson and husband Richard of Coppell; her grandchildren, Renee Lindsey and husband Byron and Mark Robinson and wife Kristin; her great grand children, Peyton and Lawson Floyd and Violet Robinson; other family members and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Boyd Church of Christ.
