Runaway Bay~ Jimmie Kay Stanfield, 77, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, October 20th, 2022 in Runaway Bay.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October, 23, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie. Family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Rev. Ollin Collins will officiate.

Pallbearers are to include, Jerrell Rutherford, Abel Prendez, Kyle Erwin, Bill Reilly, Owen Reilly, and Dean Meyers.

Kay was born on November 12, 1944 to Everett Louis and Frona (Zahn) Lyon in Levelland, Texas. She was a longtime Hair Stylist and worked for many years at Hair Quarters in Bridgeport. Years later, she began her real estate career and was associated with many of Wise County’s finest real estate companies, most recently Century 21 Sue Ann Denton Properties in Bridgeport. Kay was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many who will be missed by all that knew and loved her so much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Frona Lyon.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Tonya Shaffer of Bridgeport; her son, Mike Meissner and wife Sharon of Runaway Bay; her son, Monty Meissner and wife Nona of Longview; her grandchildren, Chelsea Prendez and husband Able, Lindsey Erwin and husband Kyle, Morgan Hukil and husband Ryan, Ty Meissner and Kaylee Meissner; her great-grandchildren, Kayden, Tucker, Kyleigh, Blakely, Calvin, Aiden, and Elijah, her sister, Judy Skidmore and husband Skid of Springtown; numerous extended family members and a host of good friends.
