Bridgeport ~ Kay McKinney Ward, 75, a homemaker and retired bookkeeper, went to be with our Lord Sunday, February 14, 2016 in Bridgeport.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in East Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
David Marcum will officiate. Pallbearers include Garry Little, Kirk Hollingsworth, John Chilcoat, Zack McKinney, Reese Little, and Jordon McKinney.
Kay was born on January 14, 1941 to Curtis and Edna (Thompson) McKinney in Wellington, Texas. She was united in marriage to George Ward on September 3, 1965 in Bunavista, Texas. Kay earned her associated degree at McLennan Community College in Waco. She was active in WMU.
Kay was a member of Hubbard First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Ward; and her son, Jeff Ward.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kaynetta Little and husband Garry of Bridgeport, Tammy Hollingsworth and husband Kirk of Coppell; her son, Mike Ward and wife Stephanie of Corinth; her grandchildren, Brandi Martin and husband James, Rachael Ward, Reese Little, Hannah Ward, Molly Hollingsworth, Sarah Ward, Scott Ward and Olivia Ward; her great grandchildren, T.J. Martin, and Allyson Martin; her brother, Bill McKinney and wife Carol of San Angelo; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
