Keith David Long

Chico ~ Keith David Long, 53, went to be with our Lord Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Fort Worth.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church Alvord. Funeral is at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the Church. Processional to follow at 1 p.m. from Pennington Field in Bedford for burial at Grapevine Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

Rev. Bill Cleveland will officiate. Pallbearers include Bedford Fire Department Honor Guard; Honorary Pallbearers are Donnie Ward, Tim Long, Tim Burgess, Josh Brown, Darren Cook, Alex Hardy, Darrell Brown, Mark Williams, Rodney Dearing and Walt Greenwade.

Keith was born on October 12, 1963 to Harriel and Shirley (Allred) Long in Fort Worth, Texas. He was united in marriage to Paula Blackshire on May 20, 1989 in Colleyville, Texas. Keith is a Fire Fighter for the Bedford Fire Department. He is a member of the First Baptist Church Alvord. Keith enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, participating in FFA shows with his kids, and welding.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Emogene Allred, Bill and Zona Long.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 27 years, Paula Long of Chico; his daughter, Delani Long of Chico; his son, Chase Long of Chico; his parents; Harriel and Shirley Long of Bowie; his brother, Kurt Long and wife Michelle of Rhome; a niece, nephews, Cousins Donnie Ward, Tim Long; numerous other cousins and a host of friends.
