BOYD -- Kenneth Ray Brown, 76, a retired quality control supervisor for the Army at Bell Helicopter, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006 in Decatur. Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Aurora Baptist Church. Burial: Boyd Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 Saturday.

Kenneth Ray served in the U.S. Air force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Boyd Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, the Eastern Star and Oppossum Club. He married Maudie drake on August 16, 1958 in Arlington.

He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Wayne Brown; his grandson, Joshua Wayne Brown; and his sister, Wanda Kearns.

Survivors: his wife of 48 years: Maudie Brown of Boyd; son, Phillip Ray Brown and wife Christina of Montrose, Colorado; daughter: Lisa Brown and significant other Jeff Vanderwall of Reno, Nevada; grandchildren: Joseph, Richard, Kara, and Kelsey; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be: Al Fulton, Al Fulton Jr., Rocky Drake, Kevin Drake, Jimmie Harris, Todd Skinner, Sammy Marlow, Bobby Joe Leslie. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Pete Taylor, Buster Reynolds, Ernest Drake, David Drake, Ernie Morvan, Raymond Jordan, Ralph Inman, Andy Warner, and Jeff Vanderwall.
