Paradise ~ Kenneth “Red” Don Christerson, 79, a truck driver, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, November 27, 2018, in Paradise.
Memorial service is 5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.
James Ritchey will officiate.
Red was born on September 16, 1939, to William and Opal (Lovejoy) Christerson in Clayton, New Mexico. He was united in marriage to Linda Sampley on October 6, 1985, in Wise County. Red was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Bridgeport. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy where he was a cameraman stationed at the White Sands Proving Grounds.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Charlene Box; and his children, Skip and Louise Christerson.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Linda Christerson of Paradise; his sons, Ed Cowley of Chico, Ty Wayne Gowin and wife Shelley of Paradise, and J.T. Gowin of Paradise; his daughter, Tracie Ritchey and husband James of Midlothian; and his son, Damon Kennan and wife Tammy of Paradise; his grandchildren, Chelsea, Casey, Ethan, Hunter, Brooklin, Dustin, Jayden, and Nora; his sisters, Betty Tackle of Bridgeport, and Dorothy Monk of Arlington; his brothers, Jerry Christerson of Houston, and Johnny Johnston of Paradise; his sister, Tammy Jones of Arlington; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
