Decatur ~ Kenneth Dwight Dodson, 90, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in Decatur.

Graveside is 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2019 at Pleasant Grove #1.

Rick Wilcher will officiate.

Kenneth was born on March 15, 1929 to Fred “Shorty” Newt and Jessie Lee (Cheatham) Dodson in Chillicothe, Texas. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Decatur. Kenneth proudly served our country in the United States Navy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Mae Dodson; his step sons, Ernest Carter, and Bill Carter; and his step daughter, Mary Dawson.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Roddy Dodson of Decatur, and Ken Dodson and wife Cindy of Decatur; his daughter, Deana Taylor and husband Chock of Decatur; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; extended relatives and a host of friends.

Military honors provided by the Wise County Veteran’s Group.
