Boyd ~ Kenneth C. Huebner, 91, went to be with our Lord Friday, January 31, 2014 at his home in Boyd.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Boyd Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Rev. Bob Turk will officiate. Pallbearers include Gary Dickinson, Ron Miller, Mike Rawlings, Allen Dickey, Roy Moore, and Jay Erickson.
Kenneth was born on December 1, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois to Ben and Elizabeth (Franks) Huebner. He was united in marriage to Edith Swinney on June 7, 1945 in Boyd. He was a retired machinist from General Dynamics. Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Marines. He was a member of the American Legion, DAV, American Veterans, VFW, and the First United Methodist Church in Boyd.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Stanley Williams.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 68 years, Edith Huebner of Boyd; his daughter, Diann Williams of Surry, Virginia; his granddaughter, Amy Williams of Boyd; other relatives and a host of friends.
