Kenneth Ben Phillips, Sr.

Alvord ~ Kenneth Ben Phillips, Sr.,75, went to be with our Lord Thursday, March 11, 2021 in Decatur.

Graveside Service is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Rev. Bill Cleveland will officiate.

Kenneth was born August 23, 1945 to Jessey James and Alice Maude (Nichols) Phillips in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was united in marriage in 1971 to Ruby C. Padgett in Ft. Worth, Texas. Kenneth was a retired welder for Lennox Manufacturing in Ft. Worth, and he was a 43rd degree Master Mason. He was a member of Alvord First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby; and his brother, Eddie Nixon.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Michael Phillips of Ft. Worth, and Kenneth “KB” Phillips and wife Michele of Alvord; his 5 grandchildren, Gage, Gavin, Emma, McKayla, and Ethan; his sister, Anna Jean Cates of Ft. Worth; several nieces, and a host of friends.
