Decatur ~ Kenneth Wade Stone, 84, of Decatur passed away at home Thursday, November 9, 2017 surrounded by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley Stone.
Kenneth was born February 8, 1933 to Herman Levi and Ruby Alice (Martin) Stone in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. He was a 2 year veteran in the United States Army. Kenneth married Shirley Hinton on August 27, 1955 in Globe, Arizona. He worked for Mt. Bell Phone Company in Arizona and retired after 30 years of service. He and Shirley spent a lifetime split between Arizona and Texas, having fun sharing many adventures and creating countless memories.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley Stone of Decatur; 2 daughters, Brenda Ferguson and husband Rick of Phoenix, Arizona, and Tammy St.John and husband Ray of Ava, Missouri; 4 grandchildren, Chris Stelzer and wife Rachel of Phoenix, Kendra Stelzer of Phoenix, Tonya St.John of Phoenix, and Justin St.John of Springfield, Missouri; 2 nephews, and a host of friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister.
