Kenneth L. Whitt

Alvord ~ Kenneth L. Whitt, 83, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, April 8, 2020 in Decatur.

Graveside service will be private. Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

Pastor Terry Brown will officiate.

Kenneth was born on March 26, 1937 to R.L and Oleta Edwardene (Holland) Whitt in Marysville, Texas. He was united in marriage to Kamelia Glynne Klingensmith on June 6, 1958 in Fort Worth. Kenneth was a minister at Fairview Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 great-grandson, Ledger Slimp; his sister, Evelyon Yeats.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are, his wife, Kamelia Whitt of Alvord; his daughter, Candace Clower and husband Jeff of Alvord; his sons, Stacey Whitt and wife Tammy of Kingwood, and Randal Whitt and wife Carla of Corsicana; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ruth Ann Parhan and husband Don of Saginaw, and Jane Mitchell and husband Ken of Fort Worth; his brother-in-law, Jim Yeats of Lubbock; extended family and a host of friends.
