Memorial service is 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17th at First United Methodist Church in Decatur with Dr. Shelly Brooks and Rev. Brian McPherson officiating. Family will receive friends immediately after the service.
Kitty Beth was born February 25, 1917 in Decatur, Texas to Charles D. and Marvel (Harper) Christian. She received her Bachelors from Texas State College for Women (TWC) in Denton. Kitty Beth was united in marriage to Ralph Jordan Dodson on June 7, 1939 and was married 62 years at his death on March 11, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Christian Miluck and brother, John Harper Christian.
Kitty Beth was a member of the Methodist Church for 67 years where she enjoyed being a volunteer for the "Christmas Cheer" at First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed antiques and gardening.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Derrell Dodson and wife Teresa of Graham, David Dodson and wife Carolyn of Decatur; daughter, Nell Ann McBroom and husband Dennis of Nocona; 8 grandchildren, Denise Pope and husband Dan of Lubbock, Drew Dodson and wife Jana of Richardson, Dahlem Dodson and wife Amy of Dallas, Lisa Dodson of Conroe, Randi McBroom of Dallas, Jenna Luedecke and husband Zac of Decatur, Sean Williams and wife Amy of Decatur, Shane Williams and wife Melissa of Houston; 18 great grandchildren, Christian, Mark, Wesley and James Dodson, Manning and Anne-Claire Pope, Melissa, Meredith and Davis Dodson, Luke Deifendorf, Gennifer, Emily, Patrick and Aubrey Williams, Reagan and Dustin Williams, Zane and Zander Luedecke.
