L. Wayne "Bus" Renshaw, 85, formerly of Rhome, went to be with our Lord, Monday, May 20, 2013 in Arlington, Texas.
Graveside service is 1 p.m. Friday, May 24th at Aurora Cemetery in Aurora, Texas with Rev. Calvary Callender officiating. Family will receive friends 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home prior to the service.
Pallbearers include Howard Callender, Arch VanMeter, David VanMeter and Greg Blackmore.
Bus was born September 6, 1927 in Decatur to Lafayette and Merle Margarette(VanMeter) Renshaw. He was a graduate of Rhome High School. Bus was united in marriage to Patricia Jean McGinnis in 1946 while serving in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. Bus later married Greta Elizabeth Woods in 1968. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone as an engineer.
Bus enjoyed traveling and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and friends in Grand Prairie.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his three sons, David Renshaw and Marisela of Frisco, Doug Renshaw of Austin, and Dan Renshaw and wife Maria of San Antonio; four grandchildren, Mary and Micki Renshaw of San Antonio, Elisabeth and David William Renshaw of Frisco; and brother, Larry Renshaw and wife Carolyn of Pittsburg, Texas; and friend, Bobbie Cochran; other family members and a host of friends.
