Ladonna Jane (Jones) Fulton

April 10, 1960 — March 21, 2022

LaDonna Jane Fulton, 61 was called to heaven to be with our gracious Lord and savior on Monday, March 21, 2022.

LaDonna Jane Fulton was born in Lubbock, TX on April 10, 1960, to Bobby Norman and Glenda Dean (Cassity) Jones.  She is survived by her mother Glenda Longmire of Decatur; brother, Norman and wife, Debra Jones of Decatur; sister, Sheri Decker of High Point, NC; nephew, Aaron and wife, Jessica of Fort Mill, SC; niece, Ashley and husband, Chris of Ft. Worth, TX; Aunts, Wanda Morrison of Decatur, Joy Litton of Robinson, TX, Martha Miller and Sonya Jones of Bridgeport; Uncles, Keith and wife, Verna Jones of Decatur, Mike Jones of Bridgeport; and numerous cousins.  Preceding her in death is her husband Gary Fulton, her father, Bobby N. Jones; Stepfather, Charles Longmire; grandparents Glenn and Leora Cassity, Kenneth and Vera Jones; uncles Jackie, Shannon, David, Jimmy John, and Joe Jones; aunts, Jimmy Rhine and Bobbie Powell.

Her family nickname was Donnie, and she was a beautiful child and young lady with a vibrant spirit.  In her early adult years, she left Decatur to live with relatives in Corpus Christi, then Galveston, TX and finally Roanoke, VA  before moving back to Decatur.  While in Galveston, she found work in a seafood restaurant and loved it. She quickly developed her culinary skills to become an excellent line cook.  Over the years, she took those learned skills and worked in several restaurants and cafes. She also loved to garden and adored all animals.  Over the past few years, she and her companion Jimmy Carter enjoyed  their two dogs JoJo and Casey and minding to her yardwork and gardening.

Donnie’s grandfather, Glenn Cassity was a very studied and religious man.  He was a Deacon and Pastor at Mount Zion Church in Jonestown.  Mount Zion is her roots, so it is only fitting that she return for her final goodbye.  LaDonna was as member of First Baptist Church in Decatur.  She was a born-again Christian who had faith in the forgiveness, grace and never-ending love of our Lord and savior.

The family looks forward to the love and support of relatives and friends as we memorialize the life of LaDonna Jones Fulton. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at Mount Zion Cemetery in Jonestown, officiated by Reverend David Lowrie.
