Landreth Leo "Landy" Moran was born on November 11, 1949, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He passed away on June 17, 2024, at the age of 74 in Decatur, Texas. Landy completed his early education in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and later attended Oklahoma State University.

Landy embarked on a distinguished career as a Chemical Engineer, initially working for companies such as Grace and Activated Metals. In the early 1990s, he founded Catalyst Partners, Inc., a firm that notably served high-profile clients including Halliburton, DOWELL Schlumberger, and BJ Services. He retired in 2015 after a successful career marked by innovation and leadership in his field.

Landy's contributions to chemical engineering and his impact on both his colleagues and countless professional projects will be remembered by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of professional excellence and personal kindness.

An avid outdoorsman, Landy cherished his time hunting, fishing, and embracing the thrill of water and snow skiing. His adventurous spirit was matched by his ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Landy is survived by his wife, Lisa Bryce Moran; children, Michelle Gothard, Bryce Meier, and Dillon Meier; grandchildren, Marci Pender, Cameron Berry, Aiden Bendure, Andrew Cummings, Kylie Webb, and Brycie Meier; and great-grandchild, Brady Pender.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Leo Moran; mother, Marietta Cockrum; and brother, Larry K Moran.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Landry's life and legacy. Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Texas, is assisting the family with arrangements. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his stories will continue to resonate with those he leaves behind.
