Laredo "Lanie" Herrera

Bridgeport ~ Laredo “Lanie” Herrera, 68, went to be with our Lord on Monday, May 2, 2022 in Decatur.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2022 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial to follow in Mexican Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pastor Todd Blair will officiate. Pallbearers are to include Ernest Herrera, Julio Ortega, Tommy Edwards, Jacob Carter, Cecil Rodriguez, II and Cecil Rodriguez, III. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky and Eric Herrera.

Lanie was born on November 5, 1953 to Daniel Lee Clark Sr. and Luther Laredo (Terrell) Clark in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Ricky Herrera on September 10, 1999 in Bridgeport together until his passing in 2003. Lanie worked as a housekeeper. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and good friends, children and especially loved her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Ricky Herrera; her siblings, Terry Clark, Penny Clark, Cheryl Coleman, Donnie Clark and Chuck Clark.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Toni Edwards of Bridgeport; her son, Timmy Perry and Trina Bradley of Bridgeport; her daughter, Chrystal Herrera Bravo and husband Steven of Azle; her son, Eric Herrera and wife Crystal of Bridgeport; her daughter, Renee Rodriguez and husband Cecil of Bridgeport; her daughter, Tiffany Herrera of Chico; Twenty Four grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Bobbie Anderson and husband Don, Bill Clark and wife Sally, Patty Powell and husband Larry, Evon Blunt and husband Bobby, Mike Clark and wife Ruth, Daniel Clark and wife Mindy; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
