Larry Glenn Baker, Sr.

Paradise ~ Larry Glenn Baker, Sr., 79, went to be with our Lord Friday, January 19, 2024.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur with burial at Paradise Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Danny Glenn Baker will officiate.

Larry was born September 10, 1944 to Clyde and Hilda Maggie (Benson) Baker in Vernon, Texas. He graduated Vernon High School, and proudly served our country in the United States Army. Larry owned and operated  Emergency Power Systems since 1988. Larry was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father, Clyde Baker and mother, Hilda Baker Painter; his step-dad, Emitt Painter; his son, Bradley Baker; and 12 brothers and sisters.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Larry Baker, Jr. and wife Sherry of Paradise; his daughters, Cassie Powell and husband Stephen of Paradise, Rachale Taylor and husband Kris of Paradise, and Alexis Baker of Paradise; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; his best friend, Verlin Baker-Hunt; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family, and a host of friends.
