Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2009, at the First Baptist Church in Alvord with Brother Bill Cleveland officiating. Interment will follow service at the Alvord Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.
Pallbearers are Vernon Hardee, Jerry Terry, Gary Bell, Frank Anderson, Glenn Geron and Monty Nivens. Honorary pallbearers are Bubba Johnston, Leonard Dunaway, Harper Baucum and Mike Williams.
Larry was born February 11, 1952, in Magnolia, Arkansas to Otis Franklin and Ora Bell (Butler) Burdine. He was a self-employed welder and a member of the First Baptist Church of Alvord.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Jonathan Burdine of Alvord; brothers, Donald Burdine of Alvord, Earl Burdine of Denton; sister, Linda Blake and husband, Josh of Alvord; numerous nieces and nephews.
