Rhome ~ Larry B Cox, 70, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 11:10 p.m. Larry was born on October 12, 1947 to Bayse and Ruby (Haga) Cox in Independence, Virginia. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Dolly on October 22, 1966 in Maryland and just celebrated 51 years of marriage.

Larry and Carolyn met at Valley Baptist Church when they were 12 years old. Grew up together went to separate schools but found love for each other through the church. In Larry’s younger years he worked doing farming.  After they married he worked at Grumman Aero Space setting up the first computers that were used to die cut the engine mounts of the F-111 airplane. Larry and Carol had two children Phil Cox and Melissa Webb both were raised in Fawn Grove Pa. and later the family moved to Texas in 1984. Larry and Carol worked hard and stayed busy with their own company.  As their family grew with grandchildren he was always there cheering them on at the race track, football games, wrestling tournaments, color guard events, and band events. He loved being involved with his family. Larry’s hobbies were racing, football and spending time with his soul mate.  He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Cox Rose of Bel Air, Md.; his sister, Nancy Cox Gentry and brother in law Clyde Gentry Jr. of Bel Air, Md; his brother Howard and wife, Mable Cox of Perryville, Md; his step brother Tom Rose of Churchville, Md; brother in law Ted Wrubleski of Strongsville, Oh.

Larry is survived by his wife of 51years, Carolyn Cox of Rhome; his son, Phil Cox #2 and wife Amy of Rhome; his daughter, Melissa Webb and her husband Mark #52 of Ponder; his grandchildren, Mark William Webb Jr. #25 and fiancée Kalli Baker of Victoria, Tx, Jordan Webb #44 and his wife Lexi of Krum, Ashley Cox #2 of Rhome, Amber Cox #5 of Rhome; his great grandchildren, Avery, Jadi and Liam; his sister, Bonnie Nell Cox Wrubleski Wilson and husband Bob of Street, Md;  many nieces, nephews; great and great great nieces and nephews; a host of friends.

Memorial is 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 6, at Speedway Christian Fellowship. Bret Shisler will officiate.
