Larry Owen Leitner

September 2, 1938 — August 20, 2019

Alvord ~ Larry Owen Leitner, 80, a retired automotive parts salesman, went to be with our Lord Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in Decatur.

Larry was born on September 2, 1938 to John Franklin and Viola Lucille (Owens) Leitner in Electra, Texas. He was united in marriage to Norma June Burris on July 15, 1960 in Wichita Falls. Larry proudly served our country in the United States Army, and was member of the First Baptist Church in Alvord. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma Leitner; his son, Owen Randall Leitner.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Cathy Edwards of Waco; his grandchildren, Daniel Leitner of Waco, Troy Edwards of Elm Mott; his great-grandchildren, Kai Leitner, and Zane Leitner both of Waco; his sister, Belva Garrett of Alvord; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
