Larry W. Phillips

Chico ~ Larry W. Phillips, 84, went to be with our Lord Saturday, January 28, 2023.

Funeral is 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 3, 2023 at Rise Church in Decatur, Texas with burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur.

James Varnadore will officiate. Pallbearers include Danny Smith, Michael Martin, Tommy Martin, Johnny Malone, Jerrel Martinez, and Alton Prince.

Larry was born October 30, 1938 to Earnest and Alieth (Lightfoot) Phillips in Harlingen, Texas. He was united in marriage May 11, 1976 to Shirley Ann Martinez in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was retired as owner of an HVAC company, that he owned and worked at for many years. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy. Larry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded by death by his parents, Earnest and Alieth Phillips; son, Kenneth Phillips; a granddaughter, Lauren Phillips; 2 infant brothers, David & Michael.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Shirley Phillips of Chico; his daughters, Debra Curry and husband Randy of Chico and Amanda Pultz and husband Jerry of North Richland Hills; 4 granddaughters, Kelcie, Jacqulyn, Brooklyn, and Halie; 4 great-grandchildren, Seth, Colton, Prince, and Phoenix; his brother, Jimmy Phillips of Garland; numerous extended family members and a host of friends.
