Bridgeport ~ Larry William Rutherford, 73, a retired employee of Mitchell Energy Corporation, went to be with our Lord Thursday, October 17, 2013 in Bowie.
Memorial service to be held at a later date.
Larry was born on July 11, 1940 to Valpeau and Pauline (Ford) Rutherford in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was united in marriage to Vertreesa Hutson on June 3, 1997 in Bridgeport. Larry retired from Mitchell Energy Corporation after 25 years of service. He was a member of Cates Street Church of Christ.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Christy Woodruff.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Vertreesa Rutherford of Bridgeport; his daughters, Paula Reilly and husband William of Weatherford, Zannet Sellers and husband Craig of Bridgeport, Misty Woodruff of Bridgeport; his sons, Jerrell Rutherford and wife Donna of Springtown, Kenneth Woodruff and wife Cindy of Flatwood; his sister, Joy Rawls and husband Jerry of Celeste; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; other family members and a host of friends.
