Larry Wendell Mcbride

Paradise~ Larry Wendell McBride, 80, went to be with our Lord on February 8, 2021 in Graham.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2021 at The First Baptist Church of Boyd with burial in Cottondale Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport.

Rev. Josh Fowler will officiate. Pallbearers are to include Connor McBride, Collin McBride, Corbin McBride, Matthew McBride, Christopher McBride, Aaron McBride, Joshua McBride, and Grady McBride. Honorary Pallbearers are Coy Cleveland, Ronnie Meissner, and Andrew Ray.

Larry was born on February 4, 1941 to Hardy and Jean (Davis) McBride in Decatur, Texas.  He was united in marriage to Nelda Ford on January 12, 1964 in Boyd, Texas and together 55 years until her passing on December 18, 2019. He was a veteran and proudly served our country in the Army National Guard. Military Honors will be provided by the Wise County Veteran's Group. Larry was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nelda McBride; and his son, William Arlon McBride.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Michael McBride and wife Teresa of Paradise, David McBride and wife Dalia of Graham, and Terry McBride and wife Shani of Graham; his grandchildren, Connor, Collin, Corbin, Matthew, Christopher, Ashley, Aaron, Kimberly, Bethany, Joshua, Grady, and Jasmine; 8 great-grandchildren and one on the way; his sister, Carol Meissner of Houston; and his brother-in-law, Arlon Ford and wife Reta of Weatherford; numerous extended family members and a host of friends and neighbors.
