Bridgeport ~ Latrell Hays, 93, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Sunday, August 14, 2016 in Decatur.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial in Chico Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Speakers will be Stephen Starnes and Jeff Bakker. Pallbearers include Hunter Garcia, Darin Dorsey, “Dirt” Garza, Jose “Taco” Delacerda, Ryan Pate, Charlie Davidson, Chris Kuhlman, Kaiden Passmore, and Rey Ray Garza.
Latrell was born on September 4, 1922 to Thomas and Hazel (Day) Denton in Rural, Texas. She was married to Thomas Hays on June 2, 1978 in Bridgeport. Latrell was a member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, Lions Club, and Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Hays; her sons, Leonard Lee Roy Reasoner, Tommy Glen Reasoner, Dennis Gill Reasoner; her granddaughter, Rachel Kay Reasoner; her sister, Lavern Kirk; and her brother, Jack Denton.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Leonard Steven Reasoner, Lisa Kuhlman, Shelly Dorsey, Patricia Smith, Valerie Reasoner, Jessie Ann Reasoner, and Denise Otwell; her great grandchildren, Christopher, Shelbi, Sabrina, Kristen, Hanna, Hunter, Kaiden, Lexi, Jayden, Ayden, Rey Ray, Greyson, McKinzie, and Maverick; her great-great grandchildren, Jaxson, Preslee, Braxton, Kinadi, and Nate; other family members and a host of friends.
