AZLE -- Laura Lea Austin, 50, a self employed home builder, died Sunday, May 27, 2007 in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Burial: East Bridgeport Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday. Officiating: Neal Owens, Jr.
Pallbearers: Glenn Groves, Buster Perkins, Greg King, Scooter Hamilton, Joel Carter, Rollins Bilby, and Kenny Thorpe
Laura was born in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of Willie and Betty Jo (Peters) Cogburn.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jo Cogburn; her brother, K.C. Cogburn, and her sister, Judy Owens.
Survivors: daughter, Melanie Smith and husband Joshua of Sherman, Texas; sons, Jay Merett and wife Rhynda of California and Gary Marett and wife Ashley of Nebraska; six grandchildren, Harlie, Peyton, Ainsley, Melody, Bryson, and Dylan; her father, Willie Cogburn of Oklahoma; two brothers, Leon Cogburn of Austin, and Wayne Cogburn of Slayton; and her two sisters, Wilma Jo Stevens of Lubbock and Stacie Newton of Corpus Christi.
