Bonham ~ Laura B. “Jack” Sims, 96, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Monday, January 2, 2017 in Bonham.
Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Hawkins Funeral Home Decatur Chapel. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service, with burial in Aurora Cemetery.
Rev. Gerre Joiner will officiate. Pallbearers include Mark Sims, Danny Sims, Donnie Parrish, Dusty Spencer and Ronnie Coker.
Laura was born on January 29, 1920 to Jess and Josephine (Knight) Coker. She was united in marriage to William Hubert Sims on April 20, 1944. She was a member of the Kings Highway Baptist Church in Fort Worth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Dannie Sims.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Tom Sims and wife Vickie of Bonham; her grandchildren, Mark Sims of Fort Worth, Kimberly Parrish of Watauga, Angelia Sims of Fort Worth, Danny Sims of Tyler; her great grandchildren, Aleece and Jaxon; her brothers, Jesse Coker of Rhome, Samuel R. Coker of Rhome; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
