Lavona Nadine "Bonnie" Pelham

Bridgeport~ Lavona Nadine “Bonnie” Pelham, 91, went to be with her Lord on Monday, May 17, 2021.

Funeral will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial to follow in Wilson Prairie Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Rev. Tim Jenkins will officiate. Pallbearers are to include Doug Jones, Zachary Jones, Rogelio Rivera, Gabriel Rivera, Chad Compton, Juan Mercer. Honorary Pallbearers are to include Chuck Berg and Jim Price.

Bonnie was born on August 19, 1929 to Calvin Cornelas and Annie Maude (Ingle) Priddy in Mannsville, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker who cherished time spent with her family and friends. Bonnie was united in marriage to the love of her life, James “Doc” Richard Pelham on July 8, 1945 in Madill, Oklahoma. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Doc; her sons Revley and Farrell Pelham; her brothers, Arbie Priddy and Kenneth Priddy; and her sisters Delma Potts and Mahota Shaw.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tammie Compton and husband Marvin of Chico; her grandchildren, Nadine Rivera and husband Rogelio, Amanda Pelham, Annie Hickman, Doug Jones and wife Kayla, and Chad Compton; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Darwettia Thompson; and numerous extended family members.
