Rhome: Lawrence Taylor, 81, a lifetime farmer and rancher, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, October 5, 2008 in Decatur.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Aurora Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Withers officiating. Burial will be in Boyd Cemetery following the service.
Pallbearers are Kevin Carney, Steve Chasak, Greg Saunders, Kenny Byers, Jason Taylor and Jerry Taylor.
Lawrence was born October 27, 1926, in Boyd, Texas, to Jesse Richard and Grace Ethel (Lasater) Taylor. He married Earnestene Gargis on March 20, 1947 in Boyd, Texas and was married 56 years at her death on March 11, 2004. Lawrence is also preceded in death by his son, Ricky Taylor and Bill Taylor, and brothers, Eugene and Jimmie Taylor.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his sister, Joyce Saunders and husband, Gordon of Arlington; daughter-in-law, Terry Williams and husband, Johnny, of Boyd; grandchildren, Kyle Erwin and Jessica Taylor of Boyd, Lawrence and Teenie Taylor of California; and a host of friends.
