Leatrice Joyce (Gober) Denton

Bridgeport~ Leatrice Joyce Gober Denton, 90, went to be with our Lord Thursday, July 30, 2020 in Bridgeport.

Funeral is 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2020 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel in Bridgeport with burial at West Bridgeport Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Leatrice was born October 17, 1929 to Thomas and Nettie (Maynard) Gober in Bridgeport. She was united in marriage to Dale Frances Denton on February 23, 1947 in Fort Worth and they were married 50 years before his passing in 1997. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport. Leatrice was a retired cook with Azco Convenience Stores.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale Denton; her son, Jesse Denton; four  brothers, Hubert Gober, Troy Gober, Roy Gober and Elmer Gober; four sisters, Augie Stokes, Willow Dean Griffith, Mildred Toups and Lorene Slimp.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jimmy Denton and fiancé Dianna DoByns of Azle, 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
