Lena, you were not only a cherished friend, but an inspiration to everyone in your Arthritis Exercise Class at the Issaquah Pool in Issaquah, Washington. You taught us how to age gracefully, keeping your sense of humor alive. We miss you and we'll always remember your smiling face at your regular spot in the Locker Room.

Lovingly, Mary Ziegler, Sammamish, WA.

Lena, my last remembrance of you was so typical...sitting up (in bed) watching the Nascar Races. Even my husband Mel says you were an amazing woman! You taught me so much, Lena, including how to eat sugar free chocolates instead of the bad stuff, and how to do a professional job on my nails. My love for "Dancing with the Stars" developed because of you...I could go on and on. I miss you so much, dear friend...you will stay in my heart always.

Love, Dorothy Romeu

Lena was such a good friend and companion at the Pool in Issaquah. I truly thought she would live forever because she had such a good, steady spirit. She had a great heart and a wonderful sense of humor. I hope she can watch her beloved Nascar in Heaven on HD and "help" Carl get a few strategic wins so she can cheer him on. She was loved by all and will be deeply missed at the pool in Issaquah.

Fondly,
Cheryl DeRouen
