HURST -- Lena Margaret Wilson, 95, a homemaker, went to be with our Lord Friday, March 7, 2008, in Azle.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Chapel. Interment: Boyd Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Chaplain Lanny Spruill and Chaplain Dan will officiate. Pallbearers: Cullie Wilson, Thurman Wilson, Billy Sanders, Bobby Sanders, Michael Sanders and Scotty Wheeler.
Lena was born May 10, 1912 to Hugh Edward and Maggie Odom Wallis in Western Grove, Arkansas. She married Dewey A. Wilson on February 18th, 1929 in Boyd. He preceded her in death as did daughters, Jenny Gilbert and Ina Joan Wilson; granddaughter, Teresa Harrison; and grandson, Tommy Darden.
She was a member of Hurstview Baptist Church.
Survivors: Daughters, Freda Bennett and husband, Wayne of Boyd, Kathryn Darden of Fort Worth, Diane Wheeler of Hurst; her son, Roy A. Wilson and wife, Connie of Cleburne; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.
