Lenard Roy Reynolds, Sr.

Boyd – Lenard R. Reynolds, Sr. passed from this life on December 29, 2022 in Decatur, Texas.

Memorial Service will be held at Rhome Church of Christ by Eddie Montgomery of Springtown and Roy Deaver of Rhome Church of Christ. Burial will be at the Crowell Cemetery in Crowell, Texas.

Mr. Reynolds was born to Arthur and Jeffie Bea Reynolds in Omaha, Texas on October 10, 1933. He was a Korean War veteran and served as a Military C.W. Radio Operator. He owned and operated a building business, Len Roy Don Builders in the Dallas Fort Worth area for over thirty years. Lenard owned and operated a wall-board business and help start the Wall-Board Association, in the D.F.W area. He worked as a Superintendent, building city water holding tanks and towers for the twenty years. Lenard served on the Boyd City Council for eight and a half years and mayor pro-term for two of those years. He drove a school bus for N.W.I.S.D. district after he retired. Lenard is a member of the Church of Christ in Boyd. He contributed leadership, worship, teaching Bible knowledge and money for the church’s growth. He was united in marriage to Margaret Thompson on August 30, 1952 at Crowell, Texas.

Mr. Reynolds is preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Hillard Reynolds, Glenn Reynolds and Ralph Reynolds; and his 3 sisters, Ruth Richardson, Ann Thompson, and Mary Green;

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of over 70 years, Margaret; 2 sons, Lenard R. Reynolds, Jr, and wife Cindy of Aurora, and Gary D. Reynolds and wife Jan of New Mexico; 3 grandchildren, Lenard (Reyn) Reynolds, III and wife Amy of Aurora, Beau Reynolds and wife Stacey of Frisco, Kara M. Reynolds Jones and husband Todd of Krum; 6 great-grandchildren, Payton Reynolds of Aurora, Grayson Reynolds, Walker Reynolds of Frisco, Edith Jones, Evelyn Jones and Tate Jones of Krum; 2 step-grandchildren, 6 step-greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
