Lenda Charleene (Isaacs) Barnes

Alvord ~ Lenda Charleene Barnes, 68, went to be with our Lord Saturday, November 21, 2015 in Alvord surrounded by her family.

Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Alvord with burial at Chico Cemetery in Chico, Texas. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Alvord. Coker-Hawkins is handling the arrangements.

Rev. Bill Cleveland will officiate. Pallbearers include Matthew Hatzenbihler, Eric Hatzenbihler, Colton Niblett, Cruz Niblett, Daniel Kaps, and Huston Myers.

Lenda was born on June 26, 1947 to James and Mamie (Farmer) Isaacs in Paducha, Texas. She was raised by her mother and step-father Claude Mitchell. Lenda was united in marriage to Bob Allen Barnes on September 2, 1966 in Sherman, Texas.  She was an administration manger for over twenty years for Improved Petroleum Recovery in Los Colinas. Lenda was a member of First Baptist Church in Alvord. She was a member of multiple associations including the Wise County Quilting Guild and the Order of Eastern Star, Past Worthy Matron, Chapter #777, Irving Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 49 years, Bob Barnes of Alvord; her daughter, Leia Hatzenbihler and husband Brian of Alvord; her son, Michael Barnes and wife Jennifer of Trophy Club; her grandsons, Matthew Hatzenbihler of Alvord, and Eric Hatzenbihler of Alvord; her granddaughters, Ashley Hatzenbihler of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Michaela Barnes of Trophy Club, and Lauren Barnes of Trophy Club; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
