Leo Frank Riney

Boyd~ Leo Frank Riney, 88, a retired salesman, went to be with our Lord Thursday, August 4, 2016 in Decatur.

Catholic Mass and Burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with burial at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Rosary is 5:30-6:00 p.m. and family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home.

Father Thomas Dsouza will officiate. Pallbearers include Laura Getty, Jonathan Strawther, Maegan Tidwell, Garrett Hughey, Natalie Vogel, Nolan Getty, Connor Hughey and Shelbi Tidwell.

Leo was born on July 14, 1928 to Leo and Rena (Grahl) Riney in Denton, Texas. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Leo was united in marriage to Shirley Wallace on April 3, 1958 in Dallas. He was owner and operator of Riney Tractor Sales and retired from Case Power and Equipment.  Leo was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Shirley Wallace Riney of Boyd; his daughters, Carrie Lynn Poston and husband Robert, Cheryl Ann Hughey and husband Harris, Darla Jean Strawther and husband Timothy and Leesa Kay Tidwell and husband Dennis; his grandchildren, Laura, Jonathan, Maegan, Garrett, Natalie, Nolan, Connor, and Shelbi; his great grandchild, Luke Vogel; his brother, Howard Dwain Riney and wife Sandra; his sisters, Bonnie Gene Clark, Rena Faye Reeder; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
